Forget me not season is almost upon us, weddings, funerals and tokens of love.

Forget me not season is almost upon us, weddings, funerals and tokens of love.

It's that time of year again when my allotment is preparing for the influx of a carpet of blue and my customers start thinking about their weddings in the coming months. I have many people buy these little jars from me for their wedding table centre pieces but I also have people buy them for memory candles, this is an honour to make such an item that comforts and reassures people, I use them myself for loved ones I have lost over the years. This special blue flower captures many peoples hearts, it is one of my all time favourite flowers.

A little bit about the forget me not: Forget me not or Mysostis typically flower in the spring there is a myth that comes from a German legend about a knight who died trying to get the flowers for his lover and called out with his last breath, “Forget me not!. The Greek name, Myosotis, means mouse's ear because the oval, furry leaves resemble a mouse's ear.

I make many of these little jars please do contact me with any requests I have done large sets of them for both weddings and funerals and also one off jars, they are very popular and I look forward to pressing them every year.
